**Title: Caduceus** Influenced by the Greek God Hermes, known as the god of doorways, the messenger, guardian of shepherds, and guide to the dead, this piece uses his symbolism to reflect on those seeking enlightenment and knowledge. Hermes is depicted awakening the sheep. Why the eye? Eyes convey the innermost feelings and desires of the heart.
